Bhubaneswar, July 7:
With the controversy over the casting couch allegations against actor Tattwa Prakash Satapathy aka Papu Pom Pom taking dramatic twists, the social organization which had filed the initial complaint in the case has today filed another complaint with the Mahila Police in Odisha capital seeking the parents of the victim to be brought under the purview of the investigation.

The Friends Foundation Trust today once again moved the Mahila Police and petitioned that the parents of the minor victim are giving misleading statements in the media which might scuttle the investigation process. In view of this, the parents should be brought under the ambit of the investigation.
“A compromise petition has been filed by the victim’s father saying that the matter has been amicably resolved between Papu Pom Pom and his family member and they do not want to pursue the case. After that, the victim’s father has disowned before media that his daughter has recorded statement in this matter. The victim’s mother has also maintained the stand as adopted by her husband, while speaking to media. They are trying to mislead the investigation. In view of this, the parents should be brought within the purview of the investigation,” Satya Ranjan Samal, President of The Friends Foundation Trust said in his complaint.
Besides seeking impartial probe into the matter, the Trust sought security to the minor victim.
It may be mentioned here that the victim’s father had told a private new channel that his daughter has not recorded statement in the court and the girl who has recorded statement is not his, which was strongly contested by District Child Welfare Committee member Nirupama Rath.
Notably, Rath had submitted a preliminary report to the Mahila Police following which a case was registered leading to the actor and his aide’s arrest.
