Intensifying its investigation into the murder of Seaways Group General Manager Mahendra Swain, the Jagatsinghpur police today sealed the bank account of industrialist Mahimananda Mishra-owned Odisha Stevedores Limited (OSL) after conducting raid at the firm's office here.

According to reports, the Bank of India account of the firm has been sealed.

This apart, personal accounts of OSL's Executive Director Basant Bal, Operation Manager Subash Acharya and Senior Manager Debi Tripathy have also been sealed.

Besides, police conducted raid at the residence of Bal.

Notably, look out circulars have been issued against Mahimananda Mishra and others named in the FIR pertaining to Mahendra Swain’s murder.

It may be recalled here that on October 26 shots were fired at Swain near Ambedkar Bhawan at Madhuban Colony in Paradip. Two miscreants had hurled crude hand bombs at the SUV in which Swain was travelling. While Swain was fleeing to save himself after alighting from the vehicle, miscreants fired two rounds at him leading to his death.
