Paralakhemundi ACF Death: Accused DFO used to visit Saumya’s residence late night!

Bhubaneswar: In a fresh development in Parlakhemundi ACF death case, a former forest guard has made a startling allegation against key accused Gajapati Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Sangram Keshari Behera.

Ex-forest guard Ganga Pradhan, who used to conduct night patrolling, alleged that he had seen the DFO visiting deceased ACF Saumya Ranjan Mohapatra’s residential quarters late night. As he caught him red-handed, the DFO sacked him from his job, he told media today.

On September 2, a five-member team of Crime Branch, which has taken over investigation of the case, grilled the ACF’s wife Bidya Bharati. The investigating team asked her total 70 questions in seven hours of interrogation.

Earlier on August 21, the Crime Branch had interrogated the accused DFO at the guest house of Paralakhemundi police for around three hours.

Sangram, is one of the key accused named in the FIR lodged by the ACF’s father Abhiram Mohapatra. Family of the deceased has been alleging that Bidya Bharati had extramarital affairs with the senior forest official.
