Pari murder: SIT seeks brain mapping of accused

Nayagarh: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Odisha Crime Branch probing into the alleged sexual assault and murder of 5-year-old girl Pari at Jadupur village in Nayagarh district today sought brain mapping test of the accused.

The SIT moved the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) seeking permission for the brain mapping test of the minor accused. The hearing on the plea has been scheduled for January 13.

On the other hand, mobile phone, SIM card, and other articles that were seized from the accused have been sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory for examination.

Earlier in the day, the accused refused to undergo narco analysis test before the JJB. He denied in writing to undergo the test, following which the JJB rejected the SIT’s plea for the narco test.
