Parikhya Darpan – Free exam guide book now available for HSC students in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In a bid to help students in their preparation for the upcoming annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination, State School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today launched Parikhya Darpan, a free guide book for Matric examination.

The 700-page guide book (test paper) has been prepared by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) to help the students, who will appear in the Matric Examination-2021 scheduled from May 3 to 15.

As many as 6,20,508 students will appear in the annual HSC Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) in Odisha this year.

With launching of Parikhya Darpan, the books will be despatched to the border schools in Nuapada, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Koraput districts from today, the Minister told media after releasing the examination guide book.

Total 50,000 books will be distributed among students in these four tribal districts in first phase. The books will be available for students in all districts in next three weeks.

“We want the students in remote areas to get Parikhya Darpan in first phase as part of maintaining transparency in distribution of book. The examination guide book is expected to reach all the DEOs (District Education Officers) by February 12 and arrangement has been made to disburse the copies among all students by February 15,” Dash said.

The Question-cum-Answer book ‘Parikhya Darpan’ will be supplied to all students of the Government/Government Aided/Private schools free of cost, a notification by School & Mass Education had stated last week.

As per the notification, Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) will bear the cost of paper and printing of the books.
