As per the decision, all the parks including Biju Patnaik Park and Indira Gandhi Park will have facilities like digital board, sound system, food court, restaurants, cafetaria and ladies corner.

The steps will be taken to update Biju Patnaik Park as the country’s best park providing all the facilities of international standard, an official source said.

A festival will be organised by an event management firm every week at parks ensuring the visitors to participate in various programmes like yoga, music, art, theatre, games, community gardening, poetry recitation and awareness programme.

The width of road inside the parks will be extended upto 5-6 ft and landscaping will be made by registered agencies. The project will be completed by November 15, said Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) Vice-Chairman Prem Chandra Chaudhary.
