Patient’s relative murdered near VIMSAR in Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Relative of a patient undergoing treatment at the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) at Burla in Odisha’s Sambalpur district was allegedly murdered near the healthcare facility, early this morning.

According to reports, the deceased had gone to nearby Garadapali canal for attending nature’s call.

Later, he was found dead at the spot while the body bore injury marks.

Police have recovered the body and started an investigation into the incident.

Though the reason behind the death was yet to be ascertained, it is being suspected by police that he was killed by miscreants during a loot attempt by them.

Further probe by police was underway.
