PEO in Odisha Vigilance net over unaccounted wealth

Balangir: Odisha Vigilance officials today raided various places in connection with allegation against Biharilal Barik, PEO, Puintala panchayat, Balangir district regarding possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Officers of the anti-corruption agency carried out simultaneous searches at his residence located at Shantipada, Balangir and his office at Puintala.

The officials have so far detected a two-storied building, land, and gold ornaments possessed by Barik. Till last reports came in, the raids and calculation of total value of his movable and immovable properties were underway.
