People’s Choice Prize for Odisha’s Sudarsan Pattnaik at Intl Sand Art C’ship

Bhubaneswar: Adding another feather to his cap, Odisha’s renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik won the People’s Choice Prize at the Boston International Sand Art Championship.

Pattnaik sculpted a sand art on plastic pollution with a message “save our ocean”, which brought him the achievement.

Pattnaik, who is known for his sand sculptures on social awareness, has participated in more than 60 international sand sculpture championships across the world and won many awards for the country. A Padma Shri recipient, he is also a Guinness World Records holder.

Earlier in 2017, Pattnaik had won the jury prize gold medal at the Xth World Sand Sculptures Championship in Moscow, Russia.
