Petroleum minister praises Delhi’s odd-even initiative

New Delhi, Jan 16:

Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday congratulated Delhi for successful trial run of the odd-even formula in the national capital, said a Delhi government statement.

Pradhan praised the Aam Aadmi Party government’s odd-even initiative while giving it the award of excellence and best performing state amongst small states category at Oil & Gas Conservation Fortnight 2015 here at DRDO Bhawan.

“Pradhan said that by successfully implementing the odd-even formula, Delhi government has got optimum support from the public and has been able to bring down the air pollution in Delhi,” the statement added.

Delhi’s Joint Secretary, Environment, Sukesh Kumar collected the award.

“The award is given for excellent support and cooperation extended by Delhi government for various oil and gas conservation activities organised by state level coordinator during Oil & Gas Conservation Fortnight 2015,” the statement said. (IANS)
