Phase II elections: Fresh polls in 9 Odisha booths on Apr 25

Bhubaneswar: Fresh polls will be held at nine booths under Sundergarh, Kandhamal, Bargarh and Aska Lok Sabha constituencies in Odisha on April 25 (Thursday).

The Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha had recommended the Election Commission of India to conduct re-polling at thest booths.

“I am to say that on receipt of the proposal, the Election Commission of India has directed to hold fresh polls on April 25 in nine polling stations for simultaneous general elections to Lok Sabha and Odisha Legislative Assembly,” CEO Surendra Kumar said.

Fresh pollings will be conducted at 129-Upar Pada Kendrikela UG UP school (Bonai AC/Sundargarh PC), 213-Rangadhipa UP school (Sundargarh AC/Sundargarh PC), 210-Bahadajhola (Daspalla AC/Kandhamal PC), 222-Betanati (Daspalla AC/Kandhamal PC), 235-Areigudi (Attabira AC/Bargarh PC), 68-Shakti Nagar Primary School (Bargarh AC/Bargarh PC), 16-Dava (Padampur AC/Bargarh PC), 254-Charmal Project Upper Primary School (Brajarajnagar AC/Bargarh PC) and 182-Renti (Surada AC/Aska PC).

Simultaneous elections were held during second phase of elections on April 18 where polling could not be done due to technical glitch prompting the authorities to recommend for fresh polling.
