Phulera Dooj festival is celebrated in the honour of Lord Krishna. It falls on Dwitiya tithi of the Shukla Paksha during the Hindu month of Phalgun.
Phulera Dooj comes between Basant Panchami and Holi, for which most of the rituals of Phulera Dooj is associated with the festival of Holi.

Rituals: Devotees worship Lord Krishna on this day. There is a ritual of playing Holi with flowers with the deity.
Special events are organized in Lord Krishna temples on this occasion.
The idol of Lord Krishna is adorned with a white garba and seated under a colourful and floral creeper decorated mandap.
A piece of cloth with gulal is also tied to the waist of the deity. It is removed after Shayan Bhog at night.
Special Bhog is prepared for the deity on this day. After being offered to Lord Krishna, the prasad is distributed among the devotees.
'Sandhya Aarti' and 'Samaj mein rasiya' are the prime rituals of the day.
Devotees spend the day singing bhajans of Lord Krishna. Colors are also applied on the idols of Lord Krishna as a sign of welcoming Holi.
At the end of the event, priests of the temple sprinkles gual on all devotees.
Significance: Day of Phulera Dooj is considered to be very auspicious. Any propitious ceremonies like marriage can be held at any ‘muhurat’ or time on Phulera Dooj.
It is also a suitable day to start business.
