Baripada: A youth who had gone for picnicking drowned today while taking a bath in Lulung waterfall in Mayurbhanj district.

According to a private source, a group of people from Balasore district had gone to the tourist destination earlier in the day. Some of them went to the waterfall to take a bath. However, the youth’s leg slipped deep into the water leading to his untimely death.

“The youth lost his balance while taking a bath and drowned,” an eyewitness said.

Worth mentioning, Lulung waterfall is located near Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR) in Mayurbhanj.
