Pink ball Test: India beat Sri Lanka by 238 runs, sweep series 2-0

Bengaluru: India defeated Sri Lanka by 238 runs in the 2nd Test here on Monday to clinch the series 2-0.

After putting 252 on board in the first innings, India made short work of Sri Lanka by bundling them out for a meagre 109. The Rohit Sharma-led side then scored 303/9 before declaring and setting a target of 447 for the islanders.

Chasing the mammoth score on a rank turner of a pitch, the Lankans fell short by 238 runs despite an inspiring century from skipper Dimuth Karunaratne and could only manage a total of 208.

With this win. the Rahul Dravid-coached Indian side clinched the two-match Test series by 2-0.
