Odisha ruling party MP from Nabarangpur Balabhadra Majhi and three of his party MLAs today lodged a complaint with the CBI here alleging former Congress MP Pradip Majhi family’s links with chit fund firm Seashore Group.

The BJD MP along with party MLAs Manas Madkami (Malkangiri), Dambaru Sisa (Chitrakonda) and Subash Gond (Umerkote) filed complaint with the central investigating agency alleging that Seashore Agricultural Promotion Company Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Seashore Group had transferred Rs 35 lakh and Rs 1.65 crore to the accounts of Bhagaban Majhi, father of Pradip and his brother Prasanna Majhi respectively, in 2010 and 2011,sources said.

They submitted copies of bank account statements of Pradip Majhi’s father and brother to the CBI to substantiate their claim and demanded a probe into it.

“We have submitted some documents which clearly suggest that huge amounts have been transferred to the bank accounts of Bhagaban Majhi and his son Prasanna Majhi from Seashore Group. We have lodged a complaint with the CBI on this account, it has accepted our complaint and we hope it will take appropriate steps to investigate the matter,” informed the BJD MP after lodging the complaint.
