Plus II exam: 26 students booked for malpractice in MIL (Odia) paper

Bhubaneswar: At least 26 students have been booked for malpractice in the MIL (Odia) paper of annual Plus II examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, said an official today.

The examinations commenced at 1,145 centres across the state yesterday.

At least five students of Plus II Science stream, two each from Berhampur and Baripada zone and one from Sambalpur zone, were booked for malpractice in the MIL (Odia) paper yesterday.

Similarly, altogether 21 students of Arts and Commerce streams were booked for malpractice in the MIL (Odia) paper today.

At least 15 students of Sambalpur zone, five in Berhampur zone and one in Central zone were booked for malpractice in the MIL (Odia) paper for the Plus II Arts and Commerce streams across Odisha, said an official of the CHSE.

On the other hand, around 2,500 students were absent during the MIL (Odia) paper exams for Plus II Arts and Commerce streams, he added.

As many as 1,004 students in Baripada zone, 944 in Berhampur zone and 648 in Central zone were absent during the MIL (Odia) paper exams for Plus II Arts and Commerce streams, said the official.

Notably, a total of 3,57,942 students had registered themselves to appear for this year’s Plus II annul exams. Out of which, 2,33,855 are of Arts stream, 93,894 of Science stream, 24,331 of Commerce stream and 5862 of Vocational stream.
