Plus-II student found hanging from tree in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj

Bhubaneswar: A Plus-II second year student of Sriram Chandra Bhanj Junior College in Betnoti area of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district was found hanging from a tree near the educational institution today.

The deceased has been identified as Jagabandhu Singh, son of Hadibandhu Singh, of Ragdha village under Betnoti police station.

Jagabandhu was found hanging from a mahua tree near his college in the morning, sources said.

On being informed, police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem after registering a case of unnatural death in this regard.

“We are probing the incident. We suspect that the boy might have died by suicide,” said a police officer.
