Plus Two exams in Odisha to begin from Mar 2

Annual Plus Two examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha will begin on March 2 and end on March 29, the CHSE announced here today.

Like last year practical examinations will be held prior to theory papers. Practical examinations will begin from January 20 and will be completed by January 30.

“Like previous years examinations will begin in the first week of March. This year it will start on March 2 and end on 29th of the same month. Theory examinations will be held during this period. Practical examinations like earlier years will be held before theory examinations. Practical examinations will commence from January 20 and will end on January 30. Examination of all streams Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational will be held from March 2 to March 29. Vocational examinations will be held from March 18 to March 29,” Basudev Chhattoi, chairman CHSE told reporters here today.

With implementation of examination evaluation hubs things have become smoother and with introduction of e-valuation from last year problems/disputes with regard to valuation have been sorted out, Chhattoi said.

All examination papers in Science and Commerce streams will be evaluated through e-valuation.

The CHSE chairman said e-valuation of Arts papers can be taken up from next year on completion of new building of the CHSE which will have adequate infrastructure to handle around 12 lakh answer sheets of 2lakh Arts students.

The examinations will be held in the single-sitting-a-day format.
