Bargarh: On the occasion of the state-level observation of PM Kisan Utsav, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will visit Bargarh district on June 18. Deputy CM KV Singh Deo will accompany the Chief Minister.
The state-level event is scheduled to be organised in the district, an official source stated.
“Whatever decisions are to be taken with regard to farmers as well as agriculture, will be debated in the Legislative Assembly. All the commitments given in our (BJP) election manifesto will be implemented in the true sense of letter and spirit,” Deputy CM Singh Deo said mediapersons.
On being asked about the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy, Deputy CM Singh Deo expressed, “The process has already started and direction has been given by the Hon’ble Chief Minister to officials concerned to chalk out the requisite modalities. We are committed to the 100-day Agenda put before the people during elections,” Deputy CM Singh Deo further said.
After taking charge of his government for the third time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared the release of the 17th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi cash benefit of around Rs 20, 000 crore.
The yojana is targeted to reach 9.3 crore farmers and the funds will be released on June 18.
