PM Modi to arrive on a two-day visit to Odisha for BJP’s national exec meet

Ahead of the national executive meet of the BJP to be held in Odisha capital next month, state unit in-charge Arun Singh today arrived here to chalk out the blue print for the event.

Apart from Singh, BJP national joint secretary (organisation) Soudan Singh also arrived here.

Later in the day, the saffron party’s state unit leaders and functionaries would participate in the preparatory meeting to be held at the state headquarters here.

Prior to that, Singh held at press conference where he detailed the schedule of the leaders arriving here next month for the meet.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi would attend the national executive meeting for two days. National President Amit Shah would be present for the three days. Besides, Chief Ministers of 13 BJP-ruled states would attend the meeting,” Arun Sing told media.

“At the request of state unit BJP and its president, National President has decided to hold the party’s national executive meeting in the land of Lord Jagannath. The two-day national executive meeting will begin from 11 am on April 15 and conclude in the evening on the next day. On April 14, party functionaries would meet in Bhubaneswar,” he added.

It may be mentioned here that after the success in Assembly elections in four states and panchayat polls in Odisha, the BJP is said to be devising strategies to bounce back to power in Odisha, with the twin elections due in 2019.
