Sonepur: A bank official went missing under mysterious circumstances in Sonepur district. The police launched search operation to trace his whereabout.
According to reports, Dibyaranjan Mishra, the Agriculture Manager of Punjab National Bank (PNB) at Barpali branch in Bargarh district, had been to Binika area in Sonepur district for bank related work yesterday.
Sources said that he had talked with his wife over phone that he would return to home at 6 pm. However, he did not reach and his phone was found switched off after 7 pm.
His family searched him at Binika, but did not find him anywhere. Later, they got information that one motorcycle was found near the Anga River bridge at Cherupali on Balangir-Sambalpur National Highway-26. They rushed to the site and identified the motorcycle and a helmet. They approached the police seeking assistance in search of the missing banker.
Following complaint, the Loisingha and Dunguripali police initiated probe into the case.
Suspecting any untoward incident, his family members ruled out suicide and said that neither Mishra had enemy nor had he spat with anyone in family.
