Poacher dies of accidental firing while hunting wild boar in Odisha’s Sambalpur

The deceased was identified as Rajendra Kisan of Sirida village.

Kuchinda: A poacher died of accidental firing while he had gone to hunt wild boar in Pandabahal village within Jamankira police limits of Sambalpur district on Monday. The deceased was identified as Rajendra Kisan of Sirida village. Sources said Rajendra along with four other poachers had gone into the nearby forest to hunt wild boar. They went in different directions and fired from their guns while tracking down the animal, but accidently, the bullet hit Rajendra killing him on the spot.

On getting information, Jamankira police reached the spot and recovered the body for postmortem. The four other persons have been detained for interrogation and further investigation is underway.
