A day after group clash at Rajgangpur town in Odisha’s Sundargarh district, at least eight platoons of police force has been deployed today in the industrial town to maintain law and order.
According to reports, tension erupted between two groups in the town yesterday following which some members of a group were detained by police.
In protest against this, the tension flared up resulting in a clash in which four persons were injured.
Local traders today downed their shutters demanding arrest of the culprits. Besides, tyres were burnt at Subhas Chowk here.
Meanwhile, SP Nikhil Kumar Kanodia and other officials are camping in the town and monitoring the situation.
