Police personnel have been deployed in Pipili area to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incident.

On the other hand, the family members of the deceased Sushant Mishra have demanded police security alleging threat to their lives. Similarly, the kin of Samantary has also sought security to them citing life threat.

“Several persons involved in my son’s murder are still at large. Till they are apprehended, we will have the threat to our lives. Some motorcycle-borne goons had come to our house six days after my son’s murder. Even, crude bombs were found from our field. Considering all these, how can we live in this house without protection?” questioned Sushant’s mother Ritanjali Mishra.

The wife of the deceased Anita said: “Yudhisthir Samantaray should be sentenced to life. He has ruined my life. Now, how will I survive with my three kids?”

“We have a threat to our lives for which we demand police security,” Yudhisthir’s daughter-in-law Bhagyalaxmi said.

Meanwhile, police said that there had been no untoward incident so far.

“Yudhisthir Samantaray has been sent to Nimapara Sub-Jail after his arrest in the Sushant Mishra murder case. Though there is no such tension in the area, still we have deployed five platoons of police force to maintain law and order. Police have also been stationed at the two villages. The two families have demanded security but we don’t feel there is any such threat to them,” Pipili SDPO Jayant Kumar Mohapatra said.
