Poll campaign: Amit Shah to visit Odisha on April 7

Bhubaneswar: The central leadership of the BJP has clearly intensified its focus towards Odisha for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly polls as party’s national president Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the state on April 7, a week after addressing a rally in Paralakhemundi.

Shah will address public meetings in Bargarh and Polasara on April 7, informed Jatin Mohanty, State Secretary, BJP.

The national president of the saffron party had on April 1 addressed a rally at Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district, where he urged the people of Odisha to uproot the Naveen Patnaik government and vote in favour of the BJP for the development of the state.

The BJP has a mammoth task in hand for the Odisha polls as the party is aiming to register victory in more than 120 assembly constituencies of the state and ensure ‘double engine’ (formation of BJP government both at Centre and Odisha).
