Polling officer dies after falling ill in Odisha

Keonjhar: A polling officer posted at Anandapur in Odisha’s Keonjhar district died today after falling ill, an official said.

The deceased has been identified as Abhay Kumar Sethi, a fourth grade staff of Champua High School in the district.

As per the available information, Sethi, who was posted at Booth No- 149 under Anandapur Assembly constituency, suddenly felt uneasy inside the despatch room this afternoon. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead, said Keonjhar Sub-Collector Rabindra Sahu.

The exact cause of death will be ascertained after receiving the autopsy report, he said.
