Pornography racket: CBI arrests Assistant Loco Pilot from Rourkela

Rourkela: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested an assistant loco pilot from Odisha for his alleged involvement in a pornography racket.

Ajit Kumar, the Assistant Loco Pilot posted at Rourkela Railway Station, was picked up by the CBI from Rourkela on Sunday evening in connection with the porn film racket case. Later, he was taken to New Delhi in a flight from Bhubaneswar. The investigative agency informed about his arrest to the Rourkela Railway authorities on Wednesday.

During course of investigation into the purported pornography racket, CBI found involvement of Ajit Kumar, who was allegedly involved in the railway recruitment scam along with former Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav during UPA Government.

As per media reports, Ajit Kumar was producing porn films featuring minor girls and circulating those nude films to other countries especially Pakistan via e-mail.

The accused was under lens in the pornography racket case being probed by the CBI. A team of the investigative agency had visited Rourkela recently in connection with the case. After tracking e-mails secretly being used by Ajit Kumar, another team of the CBI had raided his residence in Bihar where they seized two hard disks containing porn films of minor girls. Based on ample of evidence collected during investigation, the CBI team nabbed the accused from Rourkela on Sunday.

However, no official confirmation about arrest of the assistant loco pilot in the case is yet to be made by the Railway authorities.
