Posts to be created in three universities of Odisha

Following longstanding demand Odisha government has decided to make fresh recruitment for filling up the teaching and non-teaching posts in three new universities — Rama Devi Women’s University, Khallikote University and Gangadhar Meher University.

The posts will be created in these varsities before 2017-18 academic session. The Higher Education department has sought the details of vacancy from the concerned Vice Chancellors (VCs) of the universities to take further initiative.

If the university wants to open any new department and the subject is being tought in nearest university, if the strength of the students will have been more than the number of seats, the government will take the initiative accordingly, the higher education department said.

The proposal for creating posts will be similar with the North Odisha University and Fakir Mohan University. The proposal can be made for at least five sections. However, the universities could not give proposal for creation of Group-D posts.
