Prakruti Mishra levels ‘casting couch’ allegation against producer Tutu Nayak

Bhubaneswar: ‘Casting couch’ allegation resurfaced in Ollywood as actress Prakruti Mishra has accused film producer Sanjay Nayak, popularly known as Tutu Nayak, of harassing newcomers in the industry.

Speaking to a regional news channel, Prakruti said Nayak has been exploiting aspiring actresses on false promises of giving them opportunity to work in movies.

Though I haven’t faced such situation, I came to know about such incidents from the victims, she added.

Refuting the allegations at a press conference, Nayak said he would file a defamation case against her and the news channel.

He claimed that she was being instigated by some film producers to level such allegations against him.

On the other hand, another actress namely Jasmine Rath levelled similar allegations against Nayak saying that she was ousted from a project as she refused to meet him at a club in Bhubaneswar.

Reacting to the allegation, Nayak said he decided to drop her from the project as her ‘boyfriend’ telephoned him regarding management of dates of the actress. It was an unprofessional behaviour, the film producer said.

He also rubbished the allegation of asking the actress to meet him at the club.
