Preparations for smooth conduct of Plus Two exams in Odisha, Here’re details

Bhubaneswar: In the wake of alleged question paper leak during matric examination in Odisha, the authorities in Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) are in full of action for smooth conduct of annual Plus Two examinations, scheduled from March 6 till 29.

The first phase of question papers have already reached the 202 Examination Management Hubs (EMH) and have been kept under strict security, said CHSE in a press release here today.

The School & Mass Education Minister along with Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary of the department directed all the district collectors, the SPs, the Regional Directors of Education, the DLCs and Supervisors of the EMHs for taking all possible measures for fair and smooth conduct of the examination.

Also, the Higher Education department has issued instructions to all the college authorities to extend their assistance for smooth conduct of the examinations.

As per the press release, flying squads are being organised at central office of CHSE, three zone office level and at the district level to curb malpractice.

Besides, the EMHs will send observers to all the examination centres to observe the examination for entire period and report to the authorities. All attempts will be taken to maintain the high quality of examination.

The candidates have been warned of stern action if found indulged in mal practice during the examination.

Except the Centre Superintendent, the examination centre officials, teachers, employees, squad members and the candidates have been directed not to be in possession of mobile phones at the examination centres. All the Centre Superintendents have been asked to strictly enforce the rule.

The Council and the district administrations will keep a strict vigil on the conduct of examination at all the centres and violation of rules.

The candidates have been advised to use black ball point pens as it will facilitate better image quality of scanned answer scripts. The Centre Superintendents have been instructed to put up the instructions to candidates through posters, notice or signage.

Notably, a total of 3,65,826 candidates from 1539 junior colleges will appear the examinations in various streams — Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational Stream.

The annual Plus Two examinations will be held at 1104 examination centres.

While 2,33,978 candidates will appear the exam in Arts stream, 96,175 students are from Science, 27,447 are from Commerce and 8,226 are from Vocational streams for the exam this year across the state.
