Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu embarked on a two-day visit to Odisha for various official engagements in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

Accompanied by daughter Itishri Murmu, Murmu reached Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar in a special Indian Air Force flight at around 11.30 am. Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra were present at the airport to welcome the President of India.

This is Murmu's second official visit to Odisha after she assumed office as the President of India last year.

During two-day trip to Odisha, she is scheduled to grace the Foundation Day celebration of Jnanaprabha Mission at Utkal Mandap in Bhubaneswar today. Later in the day, she will attend the 2nd Convocation of Rama Devi Women's University at 4 am here.

Tomorrow, Murmu will inaugurate the 2nd Indian Rice Congress at ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack.
