Cuttack: President Droupadi Murmu visited the Chandi Temple here today on the second day of her Odisha visit and offered prayers to the deity.
People gathered in large numbers to welcome the President. The First Citizen of India waved back at the gathering and greeted them.
Earlier in the day, she left for Cuttack from the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar in a carcade amid tight security.
Murmu is today scheduled to grace the valedictory function of 75th year celebrations of the Orissa High Court here.
She will also address the annual function of SCB Medical College and Hospital here and grace the convocation of National Law University in the city.
Tomorrow, the President is scheduled to interact with the members of PVTGs at Raj Bhavan. On the same day, she will launch this year’s theme of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya and lay the foundation stone for its Lighthouse Complex at Dasabatia, Tamando, Bhubaneswar.
