Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Ekalavya model residential school at Kuliana of Mayurbhanj district on November 20 during her two-day official visit to Odisha. This was informed today by the Union Minister of State (MoS) for Tribal Affairs and Jal Shakti Bishweswar Tudu.
An official source said that the Minister attended a state-level review meeting earlier in the day.
“There was a discussion in the meeting on the status of 87 Ekalavya model residential schools awarded to at least three PSUs. The PSU officials attended the meeting and discussed the ongoing projects. The President will be visiting Odisha on November 20 and it has been decided that at least an Ekalavya school in Kuliana must be kept ready for inauguration,” the Union Minister said mediapersons.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) regional officer Birendra Singh along with the project director and Balasore PIO JP Verma was present in the review meeting.
Notably, Rashtrapati Bhawan has not yet released any communiqué informing about the President's visit.
