President Droupadi Murmu to travel by train in Odisha on November 20; know why

Rairangpur: President Droupadi Murmu will travel by Express train in Odisha during her three-day official visit to the State on November 20.

As per the tour programme, the President will leave New Delhi and reach Baripada town of Mayurbhanj district by a special aircraft and again by helicopter at around 1.55 pm, via West Bengal.

The President will attend a conference and literary festival which is being organised by the Santali Writers’ Association at Sahid Smruti Bhawan in Baripada town.

On the second day of her visit, President Murmu will inaugurate three Express trains. On this occasion, she will travel from Badampahad to Rairangpur by train.

Preparation for the President’s tour is going on in full swing, a district-level official said.

Notably, President Murmu will inaugurate the Ekalavya model residential school at Kuliana of Mayurbhanj on November 20 during her official visit to Odisha. This was earlier informed by the Union Minister of State (MoS) for Tribal Affairs and Jal Shakti Bishweswar Tudu.
