President Droupadi Murmu visits Odisha for Boita Bandana ceremony

Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu visited Odisha for the second time in a week to attend the popular Boita Bandana ceremony in Paradip scheduled tomorrow on Kartik Purnima.

President Murmu reached Bhubaneswar airport in a special IAF flight just 20 minutes before the scheduled arrival. After arriving in Bhubaneswar, she headed to Raj Bhawan where she is scheduled to have a night halt.

As per the schedule, President Murmu will grace the Boita Bandana ceremony in Odisha’s port city Paradip tomorrow morning. The event has been organized by the Paradip Port Authority for the occasion of Kartika Purnima.

During her visit, the President will virtually inaugurate a Multi Model Logistic Park as well as lay the foundation stones for a new reservoir and water treatment plant for Port Township and next-gen vessel traffic management and information system.

President Murmu will also interact with the members of the fishing community.

This is President’s second trip to Odisha in a week. On Monday, she had visited Odisha to attend various official programmes for three days in Mayurbhanj and Sambalpur districts.
