Bhubaneswar: Presidential candidates Draupadi Murmu and Yashwant Sinha will visit Odisha for their campaign this week.
According to reports, senior leader Yashwant Sinha, who is the candidate of Combined Opposition parties, will visit Odisha on July 6 (Wednesday). He is likely to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik seeking support of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for his candidature in the upcoming Presidential Election 2022.
On the other hand, NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu, a leader from Odisha, is scheduled to visit her home state on July 8 (Friday) for campaigning.
She is likely to meet CM Naveen Patnaik and all MLAs and MPs of the state for their support in the Presidential poll.
Both the presidential candidates are on a pan-India tour to meet diverse stakeholders for the Presidential Election.
While ruling BJD has extended its support to Murmu's candidature, the state unit of Congress announced to back UPA's candidate Yashwant Sinha in the poll scheduled on July 18.
