Process for DL skill test and LL test to resume in Odisha

Cuttack: The Odisha government today decided to resume the process for driving licence (DL) skill test and online computerised learner’s licence test and services on DL from tomorrow.

In a letter to all RTOs, Transport Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda said DL slot activation for booking will be opened at 7 AM on June 11. Similarly, LL slot for booking will be opened at 7 AM on June 22.

The letter further said the DL test shall commence from June 18 and LL test shall commence from June 29. “So in Holiday declaration module of SARATHI, it is to be configured that from 12.06.2020 to 17.06.2020 are no test days/ holidays for DL test and 12.06.2020 to 28.06.2020 are no test days/holidays for LL tests so that after activation of service, the DL/LL applicant can only able to book slots from 18.06.2020 and 29.06.2020 respectively,” it mentioned.

The existing slot configuration for DL test and LL test need to be reconfigured so that the last slot time should not beyond 5.30 PM and the slot capacity should be 40% of pre-COVID-19 slot capacity for DL test and 50% of pre-COVID-19 slot capacity for LL test.

The letter directed the RTOs to configure the “Advance appointment days” as 7 days and slot booking timing from 7 AM to 10 PM for both LL & DL test, under slot appointment master configuration option.

The slot duration of DL test should not be more than 30 minutes range. Similarly, the slot duration for LL test should not be more than 20 minutes duration to reduce the gathering.

No. of slots per day and quota for each slot for DL test should be as per the availability of the testing officer.

The RTOs asked to allow DL skill test and LL test for all working days from Monday to Friday till further order. In some districts, there will be no DL skill and LL tests on Saturdays and Sundays as shut down days.

RTOs were directed to ensure social distancing guidelines of the Government are followed. All the applicants and the staffs must wear masks during the working hours.

If any applicant from Containment Zone comes for any test by booking a slot such case should be immediately informed to local Police.

Mark circles for applicants to come in queue. At the entry point of DL & LL test area, thermal scanner to be used for scanning the applicants and staff.

Take proper sanitization measures in regular intervals, the letter stated.

The Transport Commissioner directed the RTOs to cancel the appointment booked for LL test and DL test from March 18 onwards.
