Nayagarh unit of Congress today held a demonstration in the town against Odisha Law Minister Arun Sahoo for his alleged links with now-arrested doctor Motilal Gouda and for retaining his advocate license even after joining the ministry.

Apart from Sahoo, Congress workers also targeted Khandapara MLA Anubhav Patnaik for his alleged links with the tainted doctor.

Scores of party supporters led by district Congress President Lala Manoj Ray took out a rally from Sinduria and staged the demonstration in front of the collector’s office. Party workers were seen shouting anti-government slogans and burning effigies of both the leaders.

They later submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Odisha through the collector.

While we tried speaking to both Sahoo and Patnaik, none were them were available for a comment.
