PUBG Mobile to stop working in India from Oct 30

Bhubaneswar: Gaming app PUBG Mobile will end its services in India from October 30, 2020.

Complying with the interim order issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on September 2, 2020, Tencent Games will terminate all service and access for users in India to PUBG MOBILE Nordic Map: Livik and PUBG MOBILE Lite (together PUBG Mobile) on October 30, 2020, a statement issued by the PUBG Mobile stated.

The rights to publish PUBG Mobile in India will be returned to the owner of the PUBG Intellectual property.

The company said, “All users’ gameplay information is processed in a transparent manner as disclosed in our privacy policy.”

India banned 118 apps including PUBG Mobile during its third phase of bans against Chinese apps.
