‘Puntu Nana..’ first cookery show in Odisha to complete 100 episodes

In a first in the world of television in Odisha, “Puntu Nananka Peta Yatra”, the highly popular cookery show on leading entertainment channel Sarthak TV, completes 100 episodes today.

Launched with an aim to popularise the traditional cuisines of India with a comic touch, ‘Puntu Nana..” also completed two years of its existence with the 100^th episode to be aired today.

‘Puntu Nana’, the anchor of the show, is fed up of all the modern modified food. He goes out and roams all over Odisha to find out typical local recipes. Some of the recipes featured in Puntu such as “Raw egg curry”, “Sukta curry”, “Kancan flower curry” and also “Palua pakhala” have been highly appreciated by the audiences.

Made with joint efforts of respected advertising agency Sanket Communication and Lighthouse Productions, ‘Puntu Nananka Peta Yatra’ has been teaching the modern Odia women the tasty and healthy recipes of Grandma’s Era.

It has also entertained the non-cooking part of the family for its spicy humorous punches. Puntu Nana aka Antaryami Panda has became a popular character as well as a familiar face for his funny eating habits and interaction style. Spreading the beauty of Odia cookery, it comes every Sunday at 6.30 pm and is repeated on Saturday at 6.30 pm only on Sarthak TV.
