Puri: Retired Supreme Court Justice Arijit Pasayat today expressed his displeasure over non submission of the last inventory details of Srimandir Ratna Bhandar prepared in 1978.

Pasayat, the Head of the Committee, presided over its first meeting ever since the panel was set up.

The committee was recently formed by Odisha Government to chalk out the modalities to open the treasure trove of the Holy Trinity and prepare a fresh list of the existing valuables.

Ratna Bhandar is likely to be opened during the upcoming Ratha Jatra and modern technologies will be used to verify the condition of valuables kept in it. If required, the committee will take the help of Endoscopy for the purpose, Justice Pasayat informed while briefing mediapersons after the meeting.

The high-level meeting meant for the verification and counting of valuables continued for nearly an hour and a half. “Firstly, we will thoroughly analyse the previous inventory before opening the Ratna Bhandar and starting a fresh verification and counting of the valuables,” the Justice stated.
