Puri Ratha Jatra: Holy Trinity taken to Adapa Mandap

Puri: The Holy Trinity was taken from their respective chariots to Gundicha Temple today. Adhering to the COVID-19 guidelines, servitors took the deities in ‘Dhadi Pahandi’ from three chariots to Adapa Mandap.

Madanmohan and Ramakrushna were initially taken in a procession from the chariot to the Adapa Mandap. Lord Balabhadra was then taken in a ‘Pahandi’ from Taladhwaja chariot to the Adapa Mandap.

After the Pahandi of Devi Subhadra from Debadalana chariot, servitors took Lord Jagannath from Nandighosa chariot in a procession to the Adapa Mandap.

Servitors offered dry bhog to the deities prior to the Pahandi.

Amid the COVID-19 guidelines, devotees have been barred from paying obeisance to the deities at Adapa Mandap this year.

The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration said, however, the ‘Adapa Abadha’ will be available for devotees from tomorrow.
