Question paper viral does not affect Odisha Matric Exam process: Minister

Bhubaneswar: School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra today clarified that viral of Matric examination question papers on social media will have no effect on the examination process.

Speaking to media here, Patra said, “Candidates are thoroughly being checked before entering the examination halls. Body frisking and ban on entry of mobile phone inside exam halls are strictly being followed at all centres. Despite this, if question papers go viral on social media in the last minutes or during conduct of the exam, it is no way affecting the entire examination process.”

He further said that action is being taken against students involved in malpractices and exams are being cancelled at centres, where mass copy is reported.

Patra further said that invigilators have been properly trained on how to distribute the question papers.

“Four parallel question papers are there and invigilators have been instructed to distribute separate question papers on a a single row. If there is irregularity in distribution of question papers, we will look into it. We will evaluate the OMR sheets manually,” he added.
