Radio lovers! Now listen to Akashvani Cuttack on social media

Cuttack: Here is good news for internet surfers and online viewers as they can listen to All India Radio (Akashvani) Cuttack on social media on their smartphones and desktops.

Radio lovers can switch to the internet where they can get AIR news from Cuttack Centre at any time on the most popular social media websites including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Initially, the news will be uploaded on the social media sites for the online viewers. Subsequently, the listeners can have entertainment-related programmes of AIR on social media, sources said.

The initiative has been taken by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting under Prime Minister’s Digital India programme in view of the wide use of social media sites by the youngsters.

Currently, both the regional and national news is being aired at 7.05 am – 7.10 am, 7.15 am – 7.25 am, 1.50 pm – 2.00 pm, 2.25 pm – 2.42 pm, 6.45 pm – 6.55 pm, 7.15 pm – 7.25 pm on Akashvani Cuttack every day. The online surfers can get news updates on AIR’s own site http://www.newsonair.com/Default.aspx.

With the move for uploading AIR news bulletins on the popular sites like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, the number of radio listeners is expected to be increased on social media platform in the upcoming days.
