RaGa to hit election trail in Odisha tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: All India Congress Committee (AICC) chief Rahul Gandhi is all set to hit election campaign trail in Odisha tomorrow for fourth phase polls scheduled on April 23.

During his visit to Odisha, the Congress President is scheduled to attend a public meeting at Naraharipur Ground in Remuna of Balasore district.

This will be Gandhi’s first election rally in Odisha after announcement of the poll dates.

The Nehru-Gandhi scion, who is the star campaigner of the Indian National Congress for the election campaign, was earlier scheduled to visit Phulbani on April 9. However, his visit was cancelled later.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad will hold roadshow for poll candidates in Jagatsinghpur tomorrow.

Similarly, All India Mahila Congress (AIMC) president Sushmita Dev is scheduled to address poll meetings in Jaleswar and Korei on Friday.

While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) heavyweights including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah are frequenting to Odisha to hit the election trail, Gandhi’s absence during elections indicates the eastern India State is not in focus for the national party.
