Bhawanipatna: All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Rahul Gandhi today launched a scathing attack on both Naveen Patnaik-led BJD Government and Narendra Modi-led BJP Government at the Centre over chit fund and Rafale scams, respectively.
Attending the Paribartan Sankalp Samabesh here, Rahul said, “While Naveen Patnaik gave you corruption and chit fund scam, Modi gave Rafale scam to the country. Modi looted money from you in the name of demonetization and gave it to Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya and Anil Ambani."
He promised that Congress would return all looted money to the people of the country, if the party is voted to power. Rahul also promised minimum income guarantee for everyone in the country and said money will be directly credited to their bank accounts, if the party comes to power.
The Congress national president further targeted the Naveen Government over unemployment alleging that large numbers of people are migrating to other States in search of works. He assured that Congress would give minimum income guarantee to all the people of the country, if the party voted to power.
Rahul further again attacked the Odisha Government alleging that Naveen Patnaik wants to loot land from the innocent tribals. "The BJD Government has deprived tribals of their basic rights, be it land, forest and water," he said assuring that Congress will ensure that rights of Adivasis will be restored, if the party is voted to power.
“Congress has always given special treatment to the KBK region. The Government should give special attention to the KBK districts for development of people in this region. But both Modi and Naveen Governments have only neglected the people here,” he added.
The AICC president also assured that Congress will write off loans of farmers and increase paddy MSP to Rs 2600, if the party comes to power.
Besides, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Congress Odisha In-charge Jitendra Sigh, Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) working president Pradeep Majhi attacked the State Government and the Centre over various issues.
After the Paribartan Sankalp Samabesh, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to attend another public meeting in Rourkela today.
