Railway exam postponed in Odisha due to Cyclone FANI

Bhubaneswar: The Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) scheduled on May 10 for the posts Assistant Loco Pilot and Technicians was postponed in Odisha due to Cyclone FANI.

The Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) scheduled on 10.05.2019 in the towns of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur and Sambalpur under the jurisdiction of Railway Recruitment /Bhubaneswar and in the town of Balasore only under the jurisdiction of Railway Recruitment Board/Kolkata is postponed, stated a notification by the Ministry of Railways today.

All the candidates scheduled for the CBAT on May 10 in the above cities will be suitably informed by email/SMS through their registered email id/mobile number regarding the postponement of the test.

The revised date of CBAT for those candidates scheduled in the above mentioned towns will be intimated in due course, the release said.

Except these above mentioned towns, the CBAT will be held on the scheduled date for the candidates at other centres.

The decision was taken in the wake of large scale devastation due to Cyclone FANI in Odisha. All the services including railways, road communication, power supply, water, mobile and internet were badly affected in coastal districts after the FANI hit Puri on May 3.
