Rourkela: A railway staff was crushed to death by a train near a level crossing at Diesel Colony Road in Bondamunda here today.

The deceased has been identified as T Manoj.

Sources said Manoj was sleeping on the rail track this morning when a speeding train ran over him crushing him to death. On being informed, police rushed to the spot and sent the body to hospital for post-mortem.

Meanwhile, it is suspected that the railway staff committed suicide by lying on the tracks intentionally.
