Rain on the cards during Holi celebrations in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Amid high temperature, rain is likely to bring relief at several places in Odisha during Holi celebrations.

According to weather bulletin, moderate rainfall or thundershower may occur at many places in the state from March 7 till 11.

The Regional MeT of IMD forecast light to moderate rain or thundershower at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Nabarangapur and Kalahandi for March 7 and 8.

Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Bargarh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj from March 8 to 9.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur and Balasore during March 9 and 10.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Nayagarh, Boudh and Kandhamal during March 10 and 11 morning.

However, there will be no large change in maximum temperature and it is likely to be above normal by 2-3 degree C at many places during next 4-5 days.
