Rainfall at several places in Odisha till Nov 25; colder nights ahead

Bhubaneswar: Several parts of  the state are likely to receive rainfall till November 25, informed India Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Centre here today.

As per a bulletin issued by the Regional MeT Centre, light to moderate rain is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of south interior Odisha and at one or two places over the rest districts of the state till 8.30 am of November 23. 

Besides, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of coastal Odisha, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Koraput and Malkangiri between 8.30 am of November 23 to 8.30 am of November 24.

However, dry weather is very likely  to prevail over the rest districts of the state.

The weathermen also predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Puri between 8.30 am of November 24 to 8.30 am of November 25. Dry weather is very likely  to prevail over the rest districts of the state.

Regarding temperature, the MeT Centre predicted that there will be no large change in the minimum temperature in the next two days and gradual fall by three to five degree Celsius thereafter over the districts of the state.      

Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 34.8o degree Celsius was recorded at Sonepur and the lowest minimum temperature of 20 degree Celsius was recorded at Boudh, the MeT Centre informed.
